Democracy is the path. Truth is the destination. Truth should percolate to people within our country before Democracy dies out. Congress is the only party as of now that can do it. But truth should first spread and sink within Congress about issues of its party and our country.

Congress has to capture the imagination of people. Presently they have no leader other than Rahul at the national level. It is a weakness for any party to rely so heavily on one individual. Many potential Congress leaders burnt their chances by egos, greed and overambition.

The organisational structure of Congress decayed over decades. Any system requires periodical corrections even to maintain the status quo if not progress. Now it is under continuous stress due to past errors. They are fighting hard to understand the misunderstandings within.

We have had enough monologues, lectures from the high pedestal of political heroes self-anointed or worshipped by cultivated, captivated groups of people. They are only spreading their wings to capture power by holding on to these groups but deceiving them in the process.

The ‘entire politics’ has become a theatre of absurdities. A lot has to change; many should do hard work on the ground. Truths are to be spoken more forcefully by those who can. The political platform, practices, discussions, interactions are to be purified and perfected.

Are we going to wait for generations? From where are they going to get the man with a magic wand or Midas touch? While Congress is yet to start the process of analysis and reconstruction, its group leaders are talking about strengthening it while digging out its foundations. 

The deception and confusion created among people are absolute. We are to search, recognise, deploy people who speak truth from their heart. It should be infectious. It should reverberate the entire length and breadth of our country. Who else is better than Rahul to lead this?
