Negativity

Most of the people, supporters, cadres, leaders of Congress and other opposition parties are negative about defeating Modi/ Shah/ RSS combo. Their apprehensions on the face of it are natural. But if analysed deeply it is not logical, sensible to hold such fears.

Rahul is one of the few exceptions who are positive. He trusts people. He is confident that Modi’s misdemeanours will not last long. He believes in focussing on adopting the right process to yield positive results. Many are unable to bear the anxiety about the outcome.

Some of the dissenting voices in Congress are also due to this mounting fear about their political future, existence thanks to the offensives of the Modi regime. Rahul needs the support of all.  He should communicate more. He may be waiting for the right opportunity and time.

The time gap may test others’ patience. His political observations and assessments may strike the right chord. He definitely enjoys the confidence of Congress cadres, supporters. But he should make visible moves to keep up their confidence in him and his party to execute the job.

Congress is the main opposition having presence all over India. If it is to oust Modi. it should earn by its actions not only the trust of the people but also all other opposition parties so that they can unite and fight. Congress has to take the initiative to break negativity.

When there is so much negativity around,  it is the responsibility of the Congress, Rahul to embark on a major change in approach to inspire confidence and inject a positive atmosphere among its cadres, supporters, leaders and people. They should open out and convince people.

If this negativity continues, the consequences may hurt the opposition, people, country for a long time. Farmers may succeed. Modi may have a setback politically. That may create a partial vacuum in political space. Many will try to occupy that space claiming credit; creating chaos.

One should remember Anna agitation and Lokayukta. It only resulted in usurpers making political gains and ascending power with lies and propaganda. There are many elements that will create confusion. Modi & Co are masters in exploiting the chaos. It is high time for the opposition to act.

Apprehensions

The anxiety and fear about the Modi regime are all-pervading. That includes most of the people, cadres, supporters, leaders in the opposition parties or groups. How long are they to suffer this? Are they going to wait for the downfall of Modi?

It is not logical, sensible. Have they explored all scopes or alternatives? Not really. They have not applied their mind. The reality is egos, complexes, suspicion along with fear and phobia play spoilsport even for discussions, whether it is with others or within the party.

The hopes and confidence based on perceptions and visions may not be able to carry them to the D-day and see the exit of Modi. Real hard work is needed in backroom and execution at the ground level with precision and perfection. If not, they may have to face the consequences.

The opposition parties are not analysing all their weaknesses. But ‘Chitraguptas’ in BJP are nano analysing the complete records of opposition leaders, associates, supporters down to the village level to reward and punish with precision to ensure opposition ‘Mukt’ Bharat.

The policies and programmes are so designed that funds of people, banks, government, industrialists are interlinked through pipelines for money to flow seamlessly with invisible control valves. Where the money is parked is immaterial but will be available on tap for BJP.

It is only policy and money control that matters and the ruthlessness of BJP and the secrecy with which they execute it. Who will expose them? Whether opposition parties are having the right leaders, approach and state of mind to do the job? The answer is a blunt no.

BJP makes precise moves using minds, money, machines and mines when needed. They do take special effort to keep the opposition divided. If not they buy or destroy. They could thwart away all threats and challenges made to them. The ongoing farmers’ issue is presently excluded.

It may look to many that Modi/ BJP/ RSS are on a strong wicket. It is not so. The social, cultural, moral fabric of all sections of Indian people and society, is based on love, peace and coexistence. It is not conducive to BJP. But they have mastery in manoeuvres, manipulations.

All opposition parties want to oust Modi. They know they should get united to achieve it. But their apprehension extends from Modi, BJP to other opposition leaders including  Congress, Rahul. Their ego, fear, mistrust, greed for power and personal equations are stopping unity.

There are many ways to go about it. The simplest way is that they should open their heart; forget about power equations; serve people; build trust with other opposition leaders; avoid scope for suspicion; try to be open and frank; subject disputes to impartial analysis.

The disputes and differences are minor factors. It is pride and prejudice that is spoiling them. They are neither helping themselves, their parties concerned nor the people and the country. One cannot say that they are not amenable to reasons. Enough efforts were not made.
