Break mental blocks and political barriers

Political parties are tools to achieve what is laid out in the constitution. It is a common goal of providing justice, liberty, equality of status and opportunity for its people. Where is the scope for wide differences among parties?

It is deliberately created. Leaders divide, exploit people; do not want to solve problems; not interested in logic, reasoning or doing justice. People are unable to get organised, united to raise questions; seek justice. It helps some political parties to keep them relevant.

It is foolish to expect Modi/ BJP/ RSS to become amenable to reasons. Have they ever showed any symptoms of complying with basic tenets of democracy? Have they allowed discussions in parliament? They never even intend to respond and discuss. Has Modi ever answered questions?

When their party is controlled by RSS and its ideology which is adverse to our ideals, it can never run the country as per the constitution. Their loyalty is primarily to RSS.  They are using the democratic process to subvert democracy and impose RSS ideology.

They are finding people as a stumbling block. They could fool people and win elections. But they are unable to suppress their voice and keep them divided. The basic beliefs of people in peace, amity, coexistence are alive. BJP’s divisive and autocratic tools are not succeeding.

This is an opportunity for the opposition to mobilise views and present truth before people. But they failed miserably. No one is aware of what has struck them. Everyone is perplexed about the solution and how to go about it. They are caught in their own web of follies, egos.

They should come out of their mental blocks, political barriers and talk truth and sense. Where is the need for remaining disunited when they have no big differences among them excepting for their personal equations? They all have relevance only if they and democracy survive.

Talking truth and sense

Breaking mental blocks and all barriers, divisions within the society and people whether political or otherwise is possible only by speaking truth and sense boldly. Sometimes it may be a symbolic show of heart or placing roses. But it depends on the impregnability of targets.

We love to adopt Gandhian ways. It may even melt the hearts of steal. But when we have people around us with their mindsets focussed on stealing and weaning people to their sectarian, primitive ideologies, suitable changes are to be made in our approach. Let us move with time.

We should serve people truth and sense in formats that will suit the targets concerned. That is really a service to society and there is an absolute need for it. The message has to be effective and responsive. it should cause minimum hurt, inconvenience and maximum acceptance.

It is often misconstrued that people are not supporting the opposition. Most of the people know what is true and right. The truth is opposition has not provided them with a viable alternative. They made the field open for Modi & Co to create havoc. The opposition failed; let down people.

Why should the opposition be overly sensitive when Modi/ BJP complain against them for playing politics. They are not mutt heads, mullahs, priests to limit themselves to sermons though this is what they have done. They are in politics to do politics; expose failures of rulers.

There is no use in shifting blames. The truth has to be laid out in its full dimensions. People had no alternative. Modi/ BJP/ RSS had a booster dose of their men machines, method and mutinies to arm-twist and turn everything and everyone in their favour. Why blame people now?

Has the opposition learnt the lessons now? It has not. There is no light, no tunnel, no end in sight. More than the people and the Modi regime the opposition needs to be injected a booster dose of truth and sense. They have allowed the destruction by their silences, inactions.

Is it difficult to send across the truth and sense to the opposition parties, leaders and convince them about the need for consolidation, unity to forge an effective, viable opposition? No, it is not that difficult as it appears. But it is possible only if they search for it.

Whether the opposition leaders are not exchanging views, opinion frankly between them. Indications are they do it. But it looks they studiously, carefully avoid a commitment or long term relationship. They maybe safeguarding their personal assets, interests, political stakes.

But the initiatives should come from somewhere to break the deadlock. It can be anyone from unknown quarters. It can be many in coordination. But it is easy if mass leaders take the initiative. Rahul is an ideal candidate who is totally committed to truth and sense. It is possible.
