The churning of the ‘ocean of milk’ for ‘purification’ of the political system started by Anna ended up in the release of poisonous, opportunistic political elements. They usurped power exploiting the weaknesses of people and the system, destroying democracy. 

Even after 7 years, all sane citizens of this country are still dazed and yet to regain consciousness. The lies, propaganda of Fascist polluted the atmosphere using the pliable media. The ignorant and unsophisticated people continue to be so with no way of knowing the truth.

Congress and opposition leaders should get out of their bed and see the world. It appears as if they were in a state of coma during this period and have not still registered what has happened to the people. There is some limb and lip movement here and there. Are they enough?

They do not try to understand, evaluate, address their weaknesses. They are so demoralised that ‘Modi phobia’ is striking them wherever they go, whatever they see and whichever avenue they search for an escape route from their incarceration deeply dugout by the devils.

Whatever sign of life for the opposition is provided by the people. The credits go to them and also to Modi who pursued them to the brink with his unperturbed, unethical and uncontrolled destruction. But near-total failures of his rule have not reduced his power.

Even after losing elections in Bengal and some other states, his arrogance continues, his arbitrary powers go unchecked by the so-called independent institutions including courts. Our system and people are so much peace-loving that they do not act unless pushed to a corner.

Who is going to make them act? It is the responsibility of Congress and opposition parties to push everyone including themselves to come out of their stupor and inertia to think, analyse, evolve solutions to put back the system on its rails. First, let them believe ‘they can’.

If you rely on people, media, institutions and finally Modi to change you are not fit to continue as a political party and why should the people rely on you. The media and institutions have surrendered to Modi. You have to force them to change. Then people will believe you.

If political parties wait for weather forecasts, seasonal rainfall and some magical powers of Lord Krishna and the warriors like Pandava to win your battle, then they are also to think about what will follow if it does not happen. There will be bloodshed with Dushasanas smiling.
