Congress should bombard and bulldoze with truth

The frenzied and fancied activities in the political field or the social media by the opposition, its supporters, sympathisers produced nothing in effect when one goes by the results in Bengal. BJP could retain its vote share despite its total failures and hostile atmosphere.

There is much to learn from defeats and victories which are often overlooked. The opposition parties and also their active supporters in social media need to undergo a course of brainstorming and self-analysis. Their potential may be getting wasted by the wrong approach.

The political parties may do post facto analysis which is an internal process. They will come out blaming strong winds, depressions, storms and settle in their routines without much of the inconvenient, exhaustive exercises of brainstorming sessions to rectify their mistakes.

It is essentially the responsibility of political parties to effect changes as they have an organisation bound by rules. The parties are comforting themselves in retaining their hold. It is not an achievement. Congress and the opposition have scopes but are failing to read them.

The social media warriors are liberated, independent with no controls or rules to observe. They can only ventilate their feelings but cannot dictate the course. The results on the ground show that their efforts do not largely, effectively change the people and their votes.

The warriors of social media feel so elated by actively participating or precipitating a storm or quake but in reality, even their chair does not move and people are not that much impressed by them to bring about a change or wave against the Modi regime. Their role is limited.

We should not underestimate the unethical, offensive, aggressive ways of the enemy. They are weak only when you are there to expose them and spread the truth to the people. It should be effective. There is a need for flooding of truth. Here I quote contents from my old blog.

“Spreading truth, allowing it to percolate downwards passively is a time-consuming process. We should apply Gandhian ways to suit present circumstances. Showing the other cheek is not going to earn you a kiss from fascists. Now we need to unleash truth freely without holding back.

Truth is the best nonviolent weapon against fascists. So also offence is the best form of defence. Truth is our USP. BJP does not have it. Everything BJP does is shrouded in mystery, secrecy. Nothing is open as they are far away from the truth. Why should we be defensive about it?

Make truth an offensive tool. Lies and negative stories sell and appeal to people. They consider those who are bold and aggressive as heroes. Why not launch an offensive against lies? That can also gain traction. Revolutions may happen. More ‘Gandhis’ may emerge out of it.”

This is from my blog ‘Unleashing Truth offensive’. Considering the continued arrogance, dramas, endless misuse of power by Modi, Shah with the active support of RSS and its wings, now Congress and other parties, groups should launch, bombard and bulldoze them with the truth.

There are various ways and means to unleash this truth offensive. Congress has the necessary wherewithal to equip, prepare and launch it. If Shiv Sena could talk, write frankly, boldly within their limited area of operation why not Congress with a history of experiments with truth.
